Come Holy Spirit

Come Holy Spirit

Join us Holy Spirit as we come to God today

Bless us as we worship, and bless us as we pray

Help us hear the word for us

And strengthen us this day

Protect our minds and protect our hearts

You love will not depart

You’ve given us your shield of faith

To protect from fiery darts

Help us now to face our fears

And wipe away our tears

Thank you for the peace you give

Throughout the living years

Sometimes He Moves The Mountain

Posted in Poetry

Sometimes He Moves The Mountain dan skognes motivation blogger speaker teacher trainer coach educator1

Sometimes He moves the mountain

And sometimes He moves me

Sometimes He calms the raging storm

And sometimes He calms me

Sometimes He shows me what to do

And sometimes He says, “Have faith.”

Sometimes He asks the impossible

And sometimes he says,”Wait.”

Sometimes He gives me obstacles

And sometimes the road is smooth

Sometimes He helps me win the game

And sometimes He lets me lose

Sometimes He gives the key to me

And sometimes He locks the door

Sometimes He says, “That is enough.”

Sometimes He says, “Give more.”

Sometimes I wonder where He is

And sometimes I feel alone

Sometimes I wonder if He cares

And sometimes I just moan

But God is there on the mountain top

He’s there in the valley too

He’s there when the waters overwhelm

He’s there when I’m feeling blue

He’s there when the evil one’s tempting me

He’s there when I‘ve fallen away

He’s there to hold me close to Him

He’s there both night and day

He’s there when I am questioning

He’s there when my faith is small

He’s there when I have given up

He’s there whenever I call

He’s there when darkness has me blind

He’s there to light my way

He’s there to love me no matter what

He IS there come what may

Shalom!

Fear No

Fear No dan skognes insurance finance investments motivation blogger speaker entrepreneur

Fear no woman, and fear no man

Fear no object, and fear no plan

Fear no success, and fear no loss

Fear no burden, and fear no cross

Fear no evil, and fear no war

Fear not less, just fear no more

Fear only God but don’t be afraid

For in His image you and I were made

He made the sky, the earth, the seas

He made the animals, birds, and bees

He made for us to enjoy and tend

We do not own, God only lends

Fear no love, love conquers fear

God is love, to Him draw near

Fear no past or what’s to come

With God on your side, the victory’s won!

Shalom!

Who Is The Voice?

Posted in Poetry

Who Is The Voice dan skognes leadership development trainer coach consultant motivation blogger speaker

Who is the voice that cries out in the dark where nobody hears the words?

Is anybody listening?

Does anybody care?

The voice is crying out, begging, pleading, desperate to be heard.

Is anybody out there?

Does anybody care?

The voice cries out for justice and mercy, but the words cannot be heard.

For the mouth that could have spoken

Is now beneath the dirt.

The voices are many that go unheard

Unborn babies that cry to be heard

And those innocent people who were in the wrong place

Who is the voice of those crying?

Is anybody listening?

Does anybody care?

Will someone speak up and give lips to their words?

Or will they just vanish in the air?

Shalom!
